A George IV travelling dressing table set,
with silver-gilt mounts, comprising: seven cut-glass fittings with engraved lids, three cut-glass boxes with pierced and engraved mounts, a pair of inkwells with engraved lids and screw fasteners, an oblong toilet box with screw fastener, four neccesaire items with mother-of-pearl handles and gilt bodkin, the interior with tooled red leather and crimson plush, the lid with fitted mirror and stationary wallet and marked "D.Edwards Manufacturer of Writing and Dressing cases to His Majesty the Royal Family and the Hon. East India Company", eight of the mounts, makers mark A.D., London, 1825/26, two makers mark I.D. A.D., London, 1825 - 42cm long.
