A George Jones majolica quatrefoil strawberry-dish
with cable handle, the rim and handle branch moulded issuing blossom and leaves, naturalistical painted in colours on a pale blue ground, the underside in a tortoiseshell glaze, supported by four branch feet, impressed JG mark, impressed A6, registration mark for 1872 -- 30.5cm. wide (small firing crack to rim issuing minor hairline crack)
