The domed rectangular hinged lid decorated with courtly turbaned figures, one holding a bird-of-prey the other a boy and arrow-filled quiver, standing before a garden wall with a pagoda landscape beyond, enclosing a red-japanned interior with a engraved and punched-brass lockplate, the waisted case over an outstepped molded base
