Mark of Humbert & Sohn, Berlin, 1821-41
The stand on four lion's paw and scroll feet, with detachable burner, the cover lacking, the circular pan on four scroll feet and with two part-wood fluted scroll bracket handles, the detachable cover with bud finial, with moulded borders, the base engraved with the initials H.C, the base and body engraved with the initials FWR with Royal Prussian crown above for King Friedrich Wilhelm III or IV, marked on burner, underside of bowl and cover, the stand with scratchweight '4 M 8¾ L'
