Mark of Gabriel Schmidt, Augsburg, circa 1620
Gourd-shaped and on spreading circular foot with scroll bracket and foliage calyx stem, the body chased with fruit and foliage scrolls, on a matted ground, the detachable domed cover with putto finial and chased with a band of scrolls, marked on foot, body and cover, with later control marks, the finial possibly replaced
