A gilt bronze figure of Amitayas
Mongolia, School of Zanabazar, 18th century
Seated in dhyanasana atop a raised double-lotus base with beaded rims, his hands in his lap holding the vase of Amrita, clad in a short dhoti with incised hems pooling neatly at his feet, a shawl draped over his shoulders and further adorned with various foliate jewelry, his face with remains of polychromy on his lips and in his eyes, a raised urna between his brows, his hair pulled into a high chignon and secured with a tall foliate tiara, richly gilt overall and with an incised sealed base
