A gilt bronze figure of Shadakshari Avalokiteshvara
Tibet, 17th/18th century
Seated in dhyanasana over a double-lotus throne, his primary hands in front of the chest and his secondary hands at the shoulders holding a flower, wearing a sash and close-fitting dhoti with an antelope-skin around his shoulders, the face in meditation centered by an urna and surmounted by a foliate tiara, the hair pulled into a high chignon topped with a vajra
