A 'GIRL-IN-A-SWING' GOLD-MOUNTED SCENT-BOTTLE AND STOPPER
CIRCA 1755, CHARLES GOUYN'S FACTORY, ST. JAMES'S
Naturally modelled as a goldfinch on a branch and mound base painted with scattered sprays of flowers, the interior of the domed foot with a further flower-spray, the collar with a white enamel band inscribed CHARMANTE in gilding and with a chain attachment, the footrim with a gold mount (surface crack to breast above a glaze blemish, slight wear to collar and discoloration, minor scratches and slight wear to extremeties)
