The border with applied deep red guilloche enamelling, the side with applied vacant shield-shaped cartouche -- 7/8 in. (2.3 cm.); a further English gold thimble, the border with applied alternating split pearls and turquoises -- 7/8 in. (2.2 cm.); and a further gold thimble with square cut border and applied beading -- 1 in. (2.4 cm.) (3)
