South India, Kakatiya, 12th/13th Century
Powerfully carved in relief with a warrior bearing a scimitar and a sword, wearing a dhoti tied with a sash at the waist and a long plume tapering from the top of his head, flanked by a female attendant holding a water pot, draped in a layered dhoti and adorned with necklaces and disk earrings, her hair arranged in a chignon
