A GREEK TERRACOTTA FIGURE OF APHRODITE
Hellenistic Period, Asia Minor, Circa 2nd Century B.C.
The bejeweled goddess depicted nude but for a mantle draped around her legs and held in her left hand, standing with her weight on her left leg, leaning into her left hip, her right leg relaxed and bent at the knee, her right arm extended forward, bent at the elbow and holding a mirror in her hand, with an elaborate braided coiffure piled high on her head
