A GREY JADE BALUSTER VASE AND COVER, AND A WHITE JADE 'FISH' SNUFF BOTTLE

The vase of flattened oviform shape and set with bands of coloured hardstones in metal fittings around the spreading foot and the short bulbous neck, surmounted by a chrysanthemum cover with a central quartz medallion, surface chips, 6in. (15cm.) high; the bloater-fish carved with a flaring tail and bulbous eyes above a leafy waterplant, the mouth with a green jadeite stopper, 3in. (8cm.) long
