A GRISAILLE, GILT AND PUCE ENAMEL 'JUNO' PLATE
Circa 1745
Decorated en grisaille at the centre with Juno seated in her chariot drawn by two peacocks holding a sceptre in one hand and the reins in the other, below clouds in a semi-circular formation and a rainbow, the border with four cartouches within gilt surrounds delicately enamelled in puce with landscape alternating with a bird on a flowering branch, minor underside rim chips
8 7/8 in. (22.5 cm.) diam.
