A GROUP OF BRONZE DAGGER BLADES AND SPEARHEADS
CIRCA LATE 2ND-1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
One of socketed form, others with tang or holes for attachment; a square-sectioned spear-butt, with cylindrical pierced socket, 17 in. (43.1 cm.) long max.; a pottery cup with flared neck and large loop handle, 4¼ in. (10.7 cm.) high, all late 2nd-1st millennium B.C.; a pottery cinerarium, the biconical body decorated with incised cross-hatching and rows of dots (remains of bones inside), 7 in. (17.8 cm.) high; and a brown pottery bowl, the exterior decorated with an incised guilloche band and jagged teeth, 5 in. (12.6 cm.) diam.(a lot)

German private collection, formed during the 1960s-1970s.

Cinerarium: an ink inscribed label reads "Gefunden im September 1862 auf d. Rauchenberg S.W. bei Tempelhof".
