A GROUP OF LATE VICTORIAN AND EDWARDIAN MAHOGANY SEAT-FURNITURE

All in their original ticking, and comprising:
(1) an armchair circa 1900 with serpentine seat, the back left leg stamped 1853/ 4239/ HOWARD & SONS LTD/ BERNERS ST, the castors all stamped HOWARD & SONS/ LONDON, the underside of the seat with torn label HOWARD & SONS/ EASY CHAIR & SOFA FACTORY/ 26, 27 BERNERS....
(2) an armchair circa 1900 with straight seat, the back left leg stamped 1841/ 4231/ HOWARD & SONS LTD/ BERNERS ST, the castors all stamped HOWARD & SONS/ LONDON
(3) an armchair circa 1935 with straight seat, dark-polished legs and better-condition ticking, the rear left leg stamped 9209, the underside with label HOWARD & SONS/ LTD/ 31 OLD BURLINGTON ST/ LONDON W.1/ BY APPOINTMENT [beneath the Royal coat of arms], the castors all stamped HOWARD & SONS/LTD/ LONDON
(4) a stool circa 1900 with integral cushion, one leg stamped 15178/ 4362/ HOWARD & SONS LTD/ BERNERS ST, the castors all stamped HOWARD & SONS/ LONDON
