A GUAN-TYPE HU-FORM VASE AND A GE-TYPE DISH
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The vase is made in imitation of Song dynasty Guan ware with a faceted body, a pair of lug handles, and is covered overall with a glaze of pale bluish-grey color suffused with dark grey and pale gold crackle, the unglazed bottom of the foot is covered with a brown dressing. The dish is similarly covered overall with a pale grey glaze suffused with a network of fine dark grey and golden crackle. Together with a small Ge-type bowl covered overall with a glaze of greenish-blue grey color with dark grey and pale gold crackle.
7 1/8 in. (18 cm.) high, 6 in. and 3 1/8 in. (15.3 and 8 cm.) diam.
