MORO, PHILIPPINES, 19TH CENTURY
The angled 'bird-shaped' bone pommel with pointed elongated tail, cusped head and curved stylised wings, the grip with silver-wire decoration and silver studs, the blade of waved form with central groove decorated with geometric and stylised wave design in silver inlay, the top of the blade flared and decorated with openwork decoration representing a beak and long extended tail plumage, in good condition
30¼in. (76.5cm.) long.
