A Japanese ivory okimono of a fisherman, 19th century
carved wearing tied robes with straw front, carrying a small basket full of fish in one hand and reaching for his hat with the other, on an oval base with rockwork and foaming waves, inset signature tablet to the underside -- 10 5/8in. (27cm.) high.
