A JAPANESE SAMURAI SWORD WITH ANOTHER
The curved blade with deep fullers on each side, gold overlaid ferrule, heavy pierced brass tsuba (with traces of gilt embellishments), ray-skin wrapped grip (presently covered with cello-tape), silver mon, late 1930 era scabbard, tang of blade marked on each side with maker's name and date; together with another sword blade, unsigned, areas of delaminations and staining, with wood scabbard.
26 inch (66 cm.) and 20¾ inch (52.8 cm.) blades
