A Japanese shibayama-style and silver mounted vase and cover, Masaharu Kizamu, 19th Century
the ivory quatrefoil lobed body decorated in mother-of-pearl, coral, horn, wood and stained ivory with birds on blossoming branches above a flowing stream, the reverse with similar scene also with floral baskets and hanging bird houses, mounted with silver dragon handles, enamelled mounts to the neck and foot, the domed cover also with enamels and a surmounted dragon finial, signature tablet to the underside, on a carved and pierced wood stand -- 14 5/8in. (37.1cm.) high.
