Circa 1820, impressed uppercase mark at back, the underside is indistinctly inscribed mm in ochre and o in green
Modelled wearing winged helmet and cuirasse, holding flowers in each hand, before a flowering tree, on a mound base

Few marked examples of John Dale's Manufactory are known and according to Manheim, p. 121 this particular model of Mercury is the only marked example recorded.
