A Kashan lustre glazed stellar tile painted with an octagonal panel depicting birds inflight above fish swimming in a pond, all within a calligraphic border; and a further tile with animals among trees and flowers -- both 8in. (20.3cm.) wide, 13th/14th Century, (repaired.)
