A LACQUERED ROOTWOOD SCROLL POT
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The scroll pot is carved from a large section of hollowed elm root with large gnarled protrusions, and has an inset base of elm, all covered in a rich red lacquer.
11 ¼ in. (28.6 cm.) diam.
