A LARGE FRENCH ORMOLU AND BRONZE GARNITURE
Second half 19th Century

Comprising a clock and a pair of fourteen-light candelabra: the clock in the form of a twin-handled fluted urn, with central foliate finial and corona and hung with ribbon-tied foliate festoons, the white enamel dial with blue roman numerals and arabic minute divisions, signed RAINGO FRES A PARIS, with twin-train movement and countwheel strike on a bell, on a shaped base centred by foliate festoons and flanked to each side by a seated classical lady, on foliate-scrolling feet; the candelabra each in the form of flowerheads, supported by a bearded classical male figure, on a square-spreading base hung with foliate swags and on foliate-scrolling feet, each piece on an ormolu-mounted crimson-coloured material covered plinth

the candelabra: 43in. (109.2cm.) high; 12½in. (31.8cm.) square at base
