A LARGE GROUP OF SILVER PISTOL-HANDLED KNIVES
MOSTLY 18TH CENTURY, VARIOUS MAKERS, SOME IRISH
All re-bladed with modern stainless steel blades, comprising: 29 table knives with faceted pistol handles -- mostly 9¼ in. (23.6 cm.) long, engraved with crest below coronet; 26 cheese knives -- 7½ in. (19.5 cm.) long, similarly engraved, of which 13 are identifiable as Irish with crowned harp to handles, three of which are of a slightly different pattern; also a set of 12 Edwardian pistol-handled fruit forks, mark of Francis Higgins, London, 1907; and a carving knife and two forks
