XUANTONG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN IRON-RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1908-1911)
The dish is boldly decorated with two writhing five-clawed dragons chasing a gilt-decorated flaming pearl, with the teeth, eyes, and claws highlighted in white enamel, all amongst flame scrolls and ruyi-shaped clouds. The reverse is similarly decorated with two striding dragons chasing the flaming pearl amongst ruyi-shaped clouds.
