A LARGE IVORY MODEL OF AN ELEPHANT ON PARADE

On flat rectangular base, carved realistically and heavily caparisoned with intricately decorated floral textiles and head adornements, carrying two nobles in a double-domed howda, the mahout holding an ankus, flanked on each side by three foot soldiers holding spears and rifle with bayonet, one footsoldier disassociated, in original glass jar (repaired), minor losses to the figurine, otherwise in good condition
