A LARGE MEISSEN FIGURE GROUP EMBLEMATIC OF SOWING AND REAPING
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS
Modelled as a bearded man chopping wood as another sips from a glass of wine, a hoe and rake at his side, attended by a dog guarding a felled fowl, a young companion picking pears on a rocky ledge above them, the obverse with a plough and watering can, on an oval gilt enriched base
