1840-1860, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS WITH DOTTED HILTS, INCISED 15, IMPRESSED 72, PAINTER'S SIGN 10 IN IRON-RED
Depicting an antique scene from the Hannibal's Carthaginian Punic Wars, the upper part enclosing three warriors wearing helmets and cuirass, two fighting with spear, sword and shield, the third hurling rocks, above a grey elephant with a blackamoor driver, standing on a rocky-mound above a shaped base moulded with guilloche-pattern (restorations)
