JIN DYNASTY, LATE 12TH-EARLY 13TH CENTURY

This boldly painted meiping is particularly rare in that it is decorated with two different types of blossoms—peony and lotus, while other meiping are more commonly decorated with one type of blossom or a thick band of leafy fronds.
