the hood with flat top with dentil cornice, outset fluted and brass-capped columns flanking the breakarch trunk door, the trunk with line inlaid chamfered sides and arched door, on plinth with chequer inlay and moulded bracket feet, the brass dial signed Temple W.THAVEN on an engraved silvered plaque in the matted centre, date aperture and ringed winding holes, with cherub mask spandrels, the arch with painted rolling moonphase, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 84in. (213cm.) high
