Lot Essay

This desk had been part of the early Kykuit furnishings purchased by my parents. It was in the drawing room, on the right of the main entrance, as one entered the house. We obtained the table in 1963, when there was a partial distribution of some of the furnishings from Kykuit. We put it in the morning room on the ground floor at 65th Street, where it replaced a similar size desk.
