A LATE ROMAN MARBLE MOSAIC PANEL
Circa 4th Century A.D.
Composed of pink, yellow, gray, and green tesserae on a white ground, with Eros attempting to net a fish from within a small fishing boat, leaning forward with his wings outstretched, his net held out before him, the fish leaping forth from the water to the right, the boat's rudder dragging through the waves behind, within a border of a single row of black tesserae
