The breakarch case with stepped pediment above, pineapple finials, arched side frets cast with floral bouquet urns, with gilt-brass fluted Corinthian columns to the recessed front angles, the stepped inverted breakfront base with ribbed waist, on brass and wood bun feet, the dial with silvered rings to the arch for chime/silent, slow/fast and Westminster chimes/chimes on eight bells, silvered chapter ring with matted centre, black painted pierced hands, the substantial triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, quarter chiming on eight bells or four gongs and with hour strike on further gong, pull trip quarter repeat, with pendulum holdfast to the backplate -- 24in. (62cm.) high
