A LATE VICTORIAN SILVER TROPHY CUP AND COVER
MARK OF JAMES DIXON & SONS, SHEFFIELD, 1898
Of inverted bell shape with a central reeded band, supported on a conforming foot, with two scroll handles, the cover with a stylised bud finial, engraved with an inscription for the Herts Agricultural Society Special cup, won by Hon A. H. Hibbert for the best pig or pen of pigs in the show - 9¾in. (24.7cm.) high, 46oz.
