TANG DYNASTY (618-907)
The face with crisply carved features, the eyes slightly open beneath the chiseled curve of the elongated brows that continue back almost to the hairline where sections of the hair are looped over the earlobes, the rest of the hair drawn up and bound with a fillet tied with ribbons falling behind the ears and attached to a strap that rises from a boss in front and continues up over the topknot, with traces of black and red pigment
