Lot Essay

According to her son Sean, Audrey had cherished this elegant Cartier lipstick holder, and the en suite powder compact (Lot 42) since the 1950s. Perhaps a gift from her first husband James Hanson, they accompanied her to ceremonies and soirées throughout the 50s and 60s.
