The censer has a rounded body under a short cylindrical waisted neck above a band of petal lappets and below the everted rim set with a pair of semi-circular twisted-rope handles, moulded from the lower body to the base with triple-lobes each terminating to a tapered foot, the base bears an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark within a recessed panel, dappled overall with gold splashes of varying sizes
