A LONDON DELFT BLUE AND WHITE LARGE PUNCH-BOWL
CIRCA 1710
The deep conical bowl painted with a continuous frieze of figures in a tree-strewn landscape including travellers, street vendors and a huntsman with a hound taking aim at a stylised bird above an obelisk and a group of buildings with a dome and pitched roofs, the interior with a bird among foliage below six sprigs of fruiting vine, supported on a cylindrical foot painted with a broad blue band (cracks to rim and restoration)
15 7/8 in. (40.3 cm.) diam.
