A LONDON DELFT POLYCHROME DATED MODEL OF A SHOE
1722, PROBABLY LONDON OR BRISTOL
In the form of a lady's shoe, with a moulded oval buckle, painted in blue, iron-red and green with bands of flowers and scrolling foliage and overlapping leaves enclosing vignettes of insects among stylised chinoiserie flowers, the high heel with leaf-ornament, the underside initialled and dated A/T·P/1722 (minor cracking and chipping to glaze)
