The white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter disc with intricately pierced and chased ormolu hands, blued steel central alarm hand, pendulum regulation square above 60, the going barrel movement within circular plates with four back-pinned pillars, verge escapement, pull wind alarm and pull quarter repeat on two bells, the pulleys mounted on the backplate, the rack-and-snail work similarly mounted on the backplate with the engraved signature, JEAN FOL APARIS, the foliate-cast case with glazed lenticle beneath the dial and stamped St. Germain on the back left molding
