The circular white-enamelled Arabic dial signed Rouviere, the movement with silk-suspended pendulum and outside countwheel strike on a bell, within a drum case surmounted by an urn, on a scrolling vine support flanked to either side by a ram, on a shaped pediment with foliate frieze, on hairy paw feet and rectangular plinth base with beaded rim, on bun feet, restorations
