Each with 24 in. (61 cm.) blacked nitro chopperlump barrels signed in gold and with the respective calibre inlaid in gold on the rib, matt ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with blued scroll engraved tunnel cover, matt sighting rib with two-leaf rear-sight calibrated to 25 and 75 yards and each with gold-inlaid centre-line, and scroll engraved quick-detachable bases for telescopic sight rings, treble bite side-clipped action signed in gold on the underside, manual bolted safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' and 'BOLTED', locks each with cocking-indicator and signed in gold, rolled-edge trigger-guard with gold-inlaid serial number on the tang, pistolgrip-cap with hinged trap-cover, decorated throughout with deep foliate scrollwork against a blackened matt ground, the fences chiselled with vines, the locks and underside of the action each with a finely engraved African game scene, the locks signed 'P. COGGAN', gold-washed internals and triggers, finely figured 14 3/8 in. pistolgrip stock including ¾ in. leather-covered recoil pad, and vacant gold escutcheon, weight respectively 10 lbs. 8 oz. and 9 lbs. 2 oz., in original individual brass-cornered oak and leather cases with accessories and a Swarovski 'Habicht' 4x32 telescopic sight in blacked scroll engraved rings serial numbered to the rifle, the front ring engraved with the calibre, and fitted with a B-Square 'BSL-1' laser sight

Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this pair of rifles were respectively completed in December 1994 and 1995, and engraved by Phil Coggan. It should be noted that the true serial number of 28988-2 is 29327.
