the rectangular case with stepped and domed top, with foliate cast and pierced frieze sound frets and side panel frets centred by radiant cherub masks, flanked by flambeau urn finials to the angles and top, the arched white painted Roman dial with strike/silent ring, flanked by canted angles with satyr mask and fruiting vine mounts, on foliate scrolling feet, the three train movement quarter striking on eight bells, with hour strike on further bell, with anchor escapement, the foliate engraved backplate with the engraved signature Thos.
