The exterior with two large, finely painted scenes of Chinese nobles, in one a prince arrives on horseback over an arched bridge attended by his retinue, in the other the court gathers around a rose bush growing in a large square planter, all reserved on a flower-strewn gilt ground with smaller figure scenes and bird vignettes, the interior with a further scene
