A massive pair of Cantonese baluster vases
19th century
painted in famille rose enamels with panels of birds in flight and perched on branches and rockwork in flowering gardens, on turquoise grounds reserved with scattered fruit and flower sprays, carved gilt wood stands -- the porcelain 53in. (135cms) high, (one slightly off potted, other with small area of restoration to rim).
