A Meissen Goldchinesen squat-globular teapot and cover
Circa 1722, the decoration slightly later, indistinct lustre script mark (perhaps C.J. mars?)
Gilt at Augsburg in the Seuter workshop with chinoiserie figures with parasols and fans among trees and shrubs and at discussion, between moulded gilt and white gadrooned borders with gilt scrolling foliage, the short tapering cylindrical spout and loop handle richly gilt and with metal chain attachment (rubbing to rim of cover, handle, footrim and further rubbing to gadroons, some minor wear to figures and very minor chipping to tip of spout)
