Circa 1728, blue enamel crossed swords mark over , black enamel wheel-engraved Japanese Palace inventory mark N=502- W
With slightly everted rim, painted in the famille verte palette with turquoise, blue, iron-red, purple, green and yellow, with insects in flight above exotic flowering plants issuing from rockwork, divided by fantastic butterflies in flight, an iron-red flower to the base of the interior, an iron-red double concentric line border to the rim (two pieces broken from rim and restuck with very slight extended associated crack, very slight rubbing to enamels)
