A MINIATURE INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
SIGNED WANG XISAN, DATED TO THE JIACHEN YEAR (1964)
One side is decorated with a kitten seated on a rock looking at a butterfly fluttering beneath an inscription reading mao (cat), followed in regular script by the date "made in the mid-winter of the jiachen year", and the seal of the artist. The other side has a lengthy inscription about the subject followed by the artist's signature, Wang Xisan, and his seal, yin.
