designed by H. H. Crealock, modelled as a vulture attacking a serpent, painted in coloured glazes, the raptor with pink neck and brown plummage with black wing tips, the green serpent mottled with dark-green spots, on rocky-moulded base, impressed marks and date code for 1874 -- 22cm. high
